Twin Doorways

The unique landforms and weathered architecture encountered during my travels has been a dominant influence on the paintings that I have created. Locations of note are Himalayan mountain villages and the deserts of the U.S. southwest.

I really enjoy the visual impact of adobe walls, gate posts, and similar structures. The depth and variance of color, along with the rugged weathered look, is quite compelling.

Materials used: watercolor, charcoal, and Himalayan rock salt (to create additional nuanced texture)
