Door in the Wall
Inspired by my observations among mountains and Buddhist monasteries (Tibetan regions of China and the Himalaya of far north India). The scale, texture, color contrast and imposing ruggedness of the monastery walls and doorways- fantastic. I wanted to bring forth some sense of this on paper and canvas.
